The DNM Facility Expansion project involved the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a complete Firefighting and Fire Alarm protection system to meet the growing operational requirements of the client’s manufacturing site. This mid-sized project combined both wet and specialized protection systems, engineered to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and to deliver full-scale reliability in all safety-critical zones.

The firefighting network was built on 1,500 meters of carbon steel piping, distributing water from two 1000 GPM diesel fire pumps and one jockey pump, providing consistent pressure throughout the system. The installation included 300 sprinklers and spray nozzles, strategically arranged for full building coverage, as well as 15 fire hose cabinets and 8 external fire hydrants for immediate manual response capabilities.
Critical infrastructure areas such as the server room were protected using a pre-action system, offering double interlock security to prevent accidental water discharge. The fire detection and alarm side featured a fully addressable Fire Alarm Control Panel (2 loops), integrated with smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, and sounder beacons for rapid notification. The entire system was interconnected using fire-resistant cabling to ensure signal integrity and system resilience under emergency conditions.
