Project Summary
At Rashid Petroleum Company (RASHPETCO), we executed a complete upgrade of the facility’s firefighting infrastructure through the installation of a new fire water distribution line equipped with Siamese connections for external firefighting access. The project involved laying 3,000 meters of HDPE piping, accompanied by full civil and trenching works, ensuring durability, accessibility, and long-term resilience under industrial operating conditions.
Key Items used in this project
- NEW FIRE WATER LINE AND SIAMESE CONNECTIONS
- 3000 METER HDPE PIPES WITH ITS CIVIL WORKS
- 30 NRS VALVES WITH POST INDICATORS
- 6 SIAMESE CONNECTIONS
- 30 FIRE HYDRANTS WITH ITS CONNECTION.
- 30 FIRE HOSE CABIINETS C/W. ITS ACCESSORIES.
- FIRE GUARDS FOR PROTECTIOJN OF ALL FF. EQUIPMENTS.
To support system operability and isolation control, 30 NRS gate valves with post indicators were installed across the network, allowing above-ground monitoring and quick shutoff during maintenance or emergencies. For rapid fire response, the network was fitted with 30 fire hydrants complete with all mechanical connections, providing full perimeter coverage. In addition, 30 fire hose cabinets, supplied with all necessary accessories, were installed at key operational zones to enable immediate manual firefighting capability by on-site personnel.
To ensure maximum lifespan and damage prevention, all firefighting equipment—including hydrants, valves, and cabinets—was protected using custom-designed fire guards, shielding them from impact, environmental exposure, and accidental interference.
This project provided RASHPETCO with a robust, fully accessible, and externally compatible firefighting layout, significantly enhancing the site’s emergency preparedness and compliance with petroleum sector fire safety standards.
