Project Summary
At Egypt Gas Pressure Reducing Stations, we executed comprehensive fire protection works across seven stations located in multiple geographical areas. Each site was equipped with a fully integrated firefighting infrastructure designed to ensure operational safety and system reliability under hazardous conditions. Our scope included the installation of a complete fire water line network, supported by dedicated firefighting pumps and fire water storage tanks sized to meet the emergency discharge requirements of each location.
Key Items used in this project
- FIRE WATER LINE
- FIRE FIGHTING PUMP
- Fire Water tank
- FIRE HOSE CABINETS
- FM200 SYSTEM
- FIRE ALARM SYSTEM
We constructed a dedicated fire water distribution line at every station, using high-durability piping designed to withstand continuous pressure and corrosion exposure. Each water network was supported by a main firefighting pump unit paired with a fire water storage tank, ensuring sustained discharge capability during emergency operation without dependency on external utilities.
To enable fast manual intervention, fire hose cabinets were strategically positioned along equipment walkways and access zones, allowing operators to respond immediately to any localized fire outbreak. For specialized protection of electrical and control rooms, we installed FM200 clean agent suppression systems, chosen for their ability to extinguish fires rapidly without damaging critical instrumentation or interrupting gas flow operations.
In parallel, a comprehensive fire alarm system was deployed at each location, linking all detection devices with audible and visual notification units to ensure instant alerting. The alarm network was fully interconnected with the suppression and pumping equipment, allowing automated activation sequences in case of critical events.
This multi-site project successfully unified the fire protection standards across all seven pressure reducing stations, enhancing operational safety, response readiness, and regulatory compliance for Egypt Gas. The result is a resilient firefighting framework capable of protecting both personnel and high-value assets in hazardous industrial environments.
